Quick rant before work...

So I was out and about today and I wandered into Topshop to find a t-shirt with the slogan "Love My Bones" on it. What the hell?! How can they get away with that?! I find that disgusting. Isn't that encouraging young girls to slim down to the point where their bones are sticking out? For goodness sake, I thought this country had gotten over the size zero thing!

Anyways, I've gotta run off to work to get very wet in the rain. I love Scottish weather...

Getting to know me...

I must admit that blogging isn't an entirely new concept to me. I used to use myspace as a place to share my thoughts and feelings with the world but then it began to annoy me and to be honest I couldn't be bothered with it anymore. So here's hoping this doesn't annoy me...

Yes, however, I shall introduce myself. I'm Nikki, I'm 21 and I only found out today that I actually graduated from uni in June. Some thing to not know huh?! I like vintage fashion. I do not like being told "it's not the fifties anymore". I don't care that it's not the fifties anymore, I like my own sense of style and I'm far more comfortable in high heels, a pencil skirt and seamed stockings (yes, stockings, I don't "do" tights) than I am in (god forbid) tracksuit bottoms and trainers. This doesn't mean, by any means, that I'm stuck up, I'm not, I can laugh at penis jokes as much as any lager-slugging boy, it just means that I wear my dress sense with pride and I do not wish to be judged on it. The rest of that rant is a post for another day. I like to take photographs and once I've figured out how to upload them onto this thing I'll share some of them with you all.

What else do you want to know? Oh I have backwards elbows, they freak people out. I have to turn my hand through 180degrees to turn my elbows. I like films, art, music, books and geeky comedy. I'm currently watching QI. I am a geek. I even have the glasses...and I'm honest. Ask me any question and you'll get an honest answer whether I think you want to hear it or not. At least that's one thing I can promise you throughout my posts, you wont get varying degrees of bull, what you read is what you get...

On that note, this is becoming an extremely long post so I shall electronically sign off...

My first post

So I decided to start this thing 'cause it gives me a chance to splurge my, often incoherent, thoughts on the wonderful world wide web. Whether or not this was an informed decision, well, we'll just have to wait and see...
In all honesty I don't have anything to splurge tonight but rest assured that I will have in the near future.
